Conduct?a?windshield survey?that addresses the following components:?(5 clinical hours) Age, nature, and condition of the communitys available housing Infrastructure needs (e.g., roads, bridges, streetlights) Presence of functioning businesses and industrial facilities Location, condition, and use of public spaces Location and condition of public buildings (e.g., the city or town hall, courthouse) Location and condition of available schools Amount of activity on the streets at various times of the day, week, or year Noise level in various parts of the community Volume of traffic at various times of day Walkability and bikeability of the community Cost and accessibility of public transportation Availability of social service centers, public libraries, parks, places of worship, community centers, and recreation centers Availability of health care facilities and resources Resources for food and nutrition, including the presence of grocery stores and/or food deserts Services available to the homeless population Extent of police and fire services Compile your windshield survey data to include: (3 clinical hours) Data overview of all community components as identified in the Community Tool Box resource, linked in the Week 1 Learning Activities Strengths of community as evidenced by the windshield survey Weaknesses (gaps in service) as evidenced by the windshield survey Develop 1 family nursing diagnosis based on an identified gap in community resources as an indicator of potential poor health outcomes. Create a 10-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation, with speaker notes, in which you summarize the results of your windshield survey. Note: The slides should only contain essential information and as little text as possible. Do not design a slide presentation made up of long bullet points.
